6/26/2006 Easier to forget or forgive?Which one is easier for you? Which one has you accomplished before?
I think, feelings fade so you will forget the feelings after sometime, it may be happiness, hatred, guilt or something else.
We can choose not to recall things but we do not forget things. They are only archived somewhere in a memory space at the back of our brains. Unless triggered, these memories will be left archived and untouched..
So i think it is easier to forgive than forget. As age catches up on us, i think more and more things will be labelled as insignificant.. Daniel Powter - Bad Day**
Where is the moment when needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost Tell me your blue skies fade to grey Tell me your passions gone away And I don't need you to carry on Your standing in line just to hit a new low
Your faking a smile with a coffee to go Tell me your life's been way off line You're falling to pieces every time And i don't need you to carry on (chorus)
Cause you had a bad day, you're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know, you tell me don't lie You work on a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day, the camera don't lie You're coming back down and you really don't mind You had a bad day...you had a bad day Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say And I don't need you to carry on... (chorus)
(bridge)
Sometimes the system goes on the brink and the whole thing turns out Wrong You might not make it back and you know that you could be Well all that strong, and I'm not wrong...(chorus) **
Where is the wanton?I went to pack my lunch from office canteen one day.
Knowing that the counter lady has lousy memory, i tried to speak slowly while ordering "fried wanton noodles, dry without chilli".
Not only the counter lady has lousy memory, the kitchen lady cannot take in orders while cooking. So my noodles was served dry but with chilli. Anyway i was okay to take the noodles with the chilli.
When the counter lady was about to add char siew and vegetables, i requested for no char siew and more vegetables, she said ok but within 2 seconds, a spoonful of char siew was added... hmmm didn't she said ok?
After she packed the box into a plastic bag, i took a peek cos i see something missing. She said "take the chopsticks from that corner".
I asked, "erm did you put in the fried wanton?"
-_-'''
6/12/2006 Pedicure in bangkokduring my bangkok trip, i spent 400 baht and around 40 mins to do a full pedicure. for a full pedicure, 400 baht is considered cheap (as i know, an express pedicure will cost at least $15) hence my friend and i took up the pedicure as i was tired from walking though they said it is full pedicure, we were puzzled over the amount of time spent, they claimed that 40 mins was enough anyway we kind of regretted afterwards, the standard is not like the one i had in Good Earth Nail Spa (Tampines Mall). The scrub and massage is minimal. the skills such as nail shaping was not good too. i did pedicure twice in singapore before, both lasted more than 1.5 months but the one i did in bangkok, did not last 1 month i rather spent more for the quality :)
6/10/2006 Five simple rules to be happyGot this from an email, how much do you agree?
-------
Remember the five simple rules to be happy
1. Free your heart from hatred 2. Free your mind from worries 3. Live simply 4. Give more 5. Demand less, expect miracles in life No one can go back and make a brand new start Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending..
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way. Disappointments are like road bumps, they slow you down a bit but you will enjoy the smooth road afterwards. Don't stay on the bumps too long. Move on! When you feel down because you didn't get what you want, just sit tight and be happy, because God has thought of something better to give you.. When something happens to you, good or bad, consider what it means. There's a purpose to life's events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard. You can't make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved; the rest is up to the person to realize your worth. It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride. We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give. Never abandon an old friend. You will never find onewho can take his place. Friendship is like wine,it gets better as it grows older. |
